We are looking to hire an intern to work on an exciting project in the Robot Manipulation Lab at the School of Computing, University of Leeds. The internship is funded by EPSRC.
This internship will investigate different physics simulators for a robot manipulator for pick and pack tasks. We are researching and developing a novel pick-and-pack robotic system for warehouse automation tasks. The robot solves pick-and-pack tasks where it tries to identify objects of interest, pick them up and pack them into boxes. This is a challenging problem for robots today. Companies like Amazon are interested in such technologies, and we collaborate with them to implement novel algorithms.
The vacancy, and all the details of how to apply, can be found here. Please get in touch if you are interested or if you want to learn more.
